If control strip is present, click on monitor item and select appropriate mode (mirroring,
usually), or select the Apple (top
left), pull down to Control Panels, select Monitors, then make sure the "Mirroring" mode is
checked in that window.
Note: putting computer to sleep and waking it back up will usually auto-sense and
set monitor modes correctly as
well. |
| iBook laptops running OSX (10.2 or later) |
Plugging in an external projector should automatically switch to mirroring mode. Putting the
unit to sleep and then waking it
up should also accomplish monitor sensing and switching.
Otherwise, select the Apple (top left), pull down to system preferences, then select
Monitors. Make sure monitors are
set to Mirroring, or turn internal off to get different resolution on projector. |
| PowerBook laptops running OSX (10.2 or later) |
Plugging in monitor should automatically cause system to switch to EXTENDING the
desktop, with the projector being the extension without the presence of a menu bar at top.
To switch to Mirroring or move the menu bar to the projector screen: Select the Apple (top left), select System Preferences, then from there select Monitors. Click the Arrange item in the selection bar, and check the "Mirroring" checkbox at the bottom, or drag and arrange the monitor setup
and menu bar in that screen as
desired. |
